National Trumpet Event ‘Fuenlabrada 2020’

The Culture patronage of the City of Fuenlabrada (Madrid) and the Dionisio Aguado School of Music (by the leadership of their trumpet teachers, Ángel M. Campos and Juan Moreno), have organized this National Event to be held in that city, on February 7, 8 and 9, 2020. The event aims to promote trumpet culture not only in the area of ​​Madrid and its surroundings, but throughout Spain.

All activities will take place in the different rooms of the Tomás y Valiente Cultural Center (classrooms, theater, etc.), and will be free, until capacity is reached.

There will be master classes, concerts, workshops, demonstrations and a trumpet exhibitions of Schagerl, Stomvi and Van Laar brands, as well as other surprises that participants will enjoy.

This Event is designed for trumpeters of all levels, so: send an email to with your data (first & last name, telephone, level of study and where you are doing/did your study) and get ready to spend a few days together with more people who share the love for our instrument.

Back to Brass in Concert

This brass quintet — already a reference on the national scene, and has accompanied figures such as Allen Vizzutti, Thierry Caens & David Pastor — will offer a fantastic concert that will reflect their ten year journey, projects and dreams, shared in the form of music.

Master Class “Chamber Music”

Saturday 8th — 9 am

Master Class “How to Face an Audition”

Speaker: Juan Antonio Martínez (assistant principal of the Spanish National Orchestra, guest principal of the BBC Symphony, member of brassONEquintet).

Saturday 8th — 11 am

Master Class “Technique and Style”

Speaker: Antonio Cambres (principal of the Madrid City Wind Symphony, Schagerl artist).

Saturday 8th — 1 pm

Master Class “The Baroque Repertoire for Trumpet in Bach, Händel and Purcell”

Speaker: David Guillén (Doctor of History and Arts, Trumpet professor at the Conservatory of Malaga, principal of the Autonomous City of Ceuta Orchestra).

Saturday 8th — 5 pm

Master Class “Creativity Applied in the Study of Technique”

Speaker: Chris Kase (jazz trumpeter and pedagogue, Jazz Trumpet teacher at Musikene, Van Laar artist).

Saturday 8th — 7 pm

Workshop “A Study Towards the Compatible Trumpet for Humans”

Speaker: Jordi Albert (trumpeter and pedagogue, Doctor from the Valencia Polytechnic University, with a research paper on the difficulties that arise when learning to play an instrument).
